HW 48 - Treatment for Savior/Teacher Movie

The first scene opens up with a spotlight on a girl [Lauren]. Room is black and she say’s a small monologue about school and tropes. “This small film will be filed with all this trope nonsense. ” The spotlight will brighten and it turns out that she’s in a classroom. The story will consist of how a struggling student truly has no more passion or will to do good in school. Its all become a routine. A new bright-eyed teacher [Kelly] sees hidden potential in her and takes her under her wing. A strong relationship becomes of the two followed by some success. But no bright light hopeful ending here, the girl doesn’t graduate and loses hope all over again.

I want to focus on how teachers have similar powers to a parent when it comes to influencing a student. In this story the child is lacking parental substance and therefore becomes consumed with the idea of focusing on school. Kelly will be like mommy number 2 and push Lauren to new heights. The bond that they create becomes powerful where it’s translated over into Kelly bringing Lauren to new horizons. [My main argument from past posts: Teachers can have the ability to control students like or dislike towards a class or even subject.] Kelly will begin to like new school again and find her passion.

I also like Ja Min’s approach to what the teacher is teaching. I like the idea of making something funny like the teacher teaching student to stand up to bullies.

HW 47 - Class film preparation 1

-Teacher vs. school [school needs teacher, teacher doesn't want to help]
-NO words just music
-Black and white 1 color element [when things become color things get better]
-Student teaching teacher*
-Starting film with quick monologue "This will be a stereotypical film"
-Starting film with how the story ends
-Nontraditional setting for the educational parts
-Teacher trying to get students to side with him so he can take over school.

*I would like to do a similar story to my experience last year with Ms. Cole. With a lot of effort we finally broke through her though exterior and brought a funnier person to the classroom. Although yes, she was the one doing the teaching, I believe we were the ones doing the daily mini lessons of how to become a "SOF teacher".

HW 46 - Research and Writing

Christopher John Francis Boone is a young autistic kid who finds a neighbors dead poodle on their lawn. Being one of the suspects Christopher takes it upon himself to find out who the real killer is. While doing his investigation he comes to find that his father has lied to him about his mother’s death and is also Wellington’s killer. Astonished Christopher runs away on a journey looking for his mother. Along the journey Christopher learns more about himself and pushes his comfort levels to new extents. I would say the main idea of the book is Christopher’s battle to understand humans and their emotions.
Although my book is about a teacher student relationship I wanted to focus more on the relationship they have in the classroom. The curious incident of the dog in the night-time is more about how the teacher / para affect’s Christopher in life.
In the text Christopher relates to his para Siobhan more as a friend that helps him glide through everyday life. Their relationship is very unique and precious because Siobhan has the role of teaching Christopher things that come natural to others. He has such a dependent relationship when it comes to her. She teachers him natural functions that come to people. Having a bond like that is what makes this teacher student relationship so rich. This relationship is perfect for what I’m trying to prove. Teacher student relationship’s can be very influential on a student’s life.
